Data Classification in Research: Open Data vs. Restricted Data and Everything in Between

March 31, 2022
3:00 pm to 4:30 pm

About this event

Data science and data management are rapidly changing fields within academic research. Today's academic researcher must know the expectations and requirements of funders, whether that is a mandate to publicly share data or the opposite extreme of restricting data. Both requirements live on a continuum that researchers and data managers must understand.

Sponsored by MSU's Office of Research and Economic Development, this presentation will provide insight into the myriad requirements and recommendations on how to know what is expected and how to remain compliant.

Responsible Conduct of Research credit will be given for attendance.
