About this event
Sponsored by MSU's Office of Research and Economic Development, this two-part participatory program will provide participants with opportunities to learn principles for science communication and constructive feedback in phase I; and apply these principles through practice in phase II. The goal of this program is to provide participants with a safe space to practice communicating a three-minute presentation on a research topic, obtain valuable feedback from evaluators and further develop science communication skills.
During the Phase I virtual session, participants will learn how to articulate key principles for effective science communication (goal, audience, structuring message, language); and identify best practices for public speaking and providing constructive feedback to speakers.
