About this event
The Mississippi State University International Institute invites faculty and administrators to an on-campus information session about the Fulbright Specialist Program, a program of the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and a part of the larger Fulbright Program.
Through the Fulbright Specialist Program, U.S. citizens who are established faculty, administrators, or professionals can serve as expert consultants and engage in education, training and other knowledge-sharing activities for periods of two to six weeks. Fulbright Specialists come from a wide range of disciplines and may work with a range of institutions, such as higher education institutions, government agencies and cultural organizations, in more than 150 eligible countries.
Join Amirah Nelson, senior outreach officer for the Fulbright Specialist Program, on Aug. 13, followed by an informal Fulbright Coffee and Conversations, in Walker 233 for an overview of eligibility requirements, grant benefits for participating specialists, examples of Fulbright Specialist activities and the application process and timeline.
