The MSU Golf Course will host a Memorial Weekend Flag Tournament Saturday through Monday.
The event is open to the general public, faculty, staff and students.
A $5 per person fee is charged to enter, and participants must play 18 holes. The Memorial Day weekend special is included in the Green Fee*.
Event hours are 7:30a.m.-2 p.m. each day. You can play all three days or just one day. After Monday's round, winners will be determined. Approximately 30 percent of the participants will win and receive Golf Shop credit for merchandise.
Memorial Day Flag Tournament Format: Individual Stroke Play (real golf), add your handicap to par and that is your target score. If you don't have a handicap, guess what you will shoot for your 18-hole round and that will be your target score.
Pick up your flag at the turn, your name and target score will be on the flag. Once you have reached your target score, plant your flag where your last shot came to rest. If you bettered your target score, bring your flag back to the Golf Shop and let them know what you shot.
