Trace Adkins heads for MSU Riley Center next week

Trace Adkins will bring his resonant baritone voice and tough/tender personality to the MSU Riley Center in downtown Meridian for a great evening of country music on June 18 at 7:30 p.m. A pre-show party with refreshments begins in the Grand Lobby at 6 p.m.

Adkins is a Grammy Award–nominated member of the Grand Ole Opry as well as a TV personality, actor, and author. He’s also a spokesman for the American Red Cross and the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps injured military veterans. To support U.S. troops, he has performed on seven USO tours.

The former oil rigger swaggers through such rousing hit songs as “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing,” “Ladies Love Country Boys,” and “Honky Tonk BAdonkadonk.” He’s also the father of five girls, and his tender side shows on “You’re Gonna Miss This” and “Just Fishin’.”

Tickets are $65 and $59 at the MSU Riley Center Box Office, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets can be purchased online at www.msurileycenter.com or by calling the box office at 601-696-2200.
