MSU hosts luncheon for state, local law enforcement officials

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State University hosted a luncheon for local and state law enforcement officials on Wednesday [Aug. 24] to discuss plans for making MSU gamedays as smooth and safe as possible as the university prepares to welcome hundreds of thousands of football fans to campus this fall.

Keenum, Mississippi Public Safety Commissioner Albert E. Santa Cruz, Mississippi Highway Patrol Col. Chris Gilliard, Oktibbeha County Sheriff Steve Gladney, Mississippi Highway Patrol Lt. Col. Randy Ginn and Mississippi Department of Transportation Maj. Thomas Dollar. Starkville Police Department representatives also attended Wednesday’s luncheon.

The group discussed logistical details for ensuring fan security and helping drivers get on and off campus in an efficient manner.
