STARKVILLE, Miss.—The Mississippi State University Alumni Association recently welcomed a new professional staff member. Starkville native Brady Sistrunk began his duties April 16 as assistant coordinator for alumni chapter and young alumni programs.
In his role, Sistrunk will implement and coordinate programs for the association to engage alumni of ages 35 and under and provide support for chapter programs with guidance and advice for chapters and their leaders, while also furthering the association’s outreach efforts on behalf of MSU. He rounds out the team of fellow MSU alumni Michael Richardson, assistant director of chapter and volunteer programs, and Janet Downey, coordinator of chapter and volunteer programs.
“Brady will bring a vast knowledge of Mississippi State and passion for its alumni and friends to this position,” said Jeff Davis, executive director of the MSU Alumni Association. “I have no doubt that he will be a strong asset to our team at the Alumni Association and the Division of Development and Alumni.”
Sistrunk received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Mississippi State in 2015. While an MSU student, he was an intern with MSU athletics with responsibilities with sales in the athletic ticket office and public relations in the athletic media relations area.
Sistrunk joins the MSU Alumni Association from the State of Mississippi Treasurer’s office in Jackson, where he served as a marketing specialist. He earlier was a consumer marketing coordinator for NASCAR in Birmingham, Alabama.
