Abstract submissions and registration are being accepted for the Mississippi Academy of Sciences Third Annual Summer Student Science Symposium, taking place July 11 at Mississippi State’s Bost Conference Center.
Abstracts for poster presentations should be no more than 200 words and must be submitted by 11 p.m. on June 11. Participants may present new research findings or those they have or will present at a conference or meeting. Fifteen awards will be given across a variety of discipline categories for undergraduates, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. All 15 winners also will receive a complimentary one-year MAS membership.
Event sponsors include MSU’s Office of Research and Economic Development, the Mississippi Research Consortium, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service, Cotton Incorporated, MSU’s Bagley College of Engineering, MSU’s Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine, and the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Along with presenting research, participants will have the chance to explore internship and career opportunities and network with representatives from the aforementioned companies, universities and organizations.
