University Drive art project prompts street closures

Portions of University Drive will temporarily close Friday [July 22] ahead of a Mississippi State University-led art project along the thoroughfare connecting Starkville to campus.

To facilitate the daylong painting of murals and sidewalks associated with the University Drive Corridor Connections project, Barr Avenue—the on-campus street that University Drive transitions into—will be closed at its intersection with Bost Drive beginning at 8 a.m. University Drive also will be closed at its intersections with Colonel Muldrow Drive, Fellowship Street and North Nash Street at 8 a.m.

All four areas are expected to reopen 7 p.m. Saturday [July 23].
