High school, two-year college students encouraged to attend MSU Music Discovery Day

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State’s Department of Music is hosting its annual Music Discovery Day for current high school juniors, seniors and community college students Nov. 6 in the Kent Sills Band Hall, 72 Hardy Road, in Starkville.

Registration is free for attendees, who can bring one guest. Learn more at www.music.msstate.edu/discover. Participants will need to obtain a visitor parking pass through MSU Parking and Transit Services, www.parkingservices.msstate.edu/visitor-parking.

At the 9 a.m.-4 p.m. event, there will be opportunities for one-on-one visits with faculty members and current students. In addition to learning about the department’s music and music education programs, scholarships and career opportunities, participants can observe music classes and attend faculty and student performances.
