MSU announces holiday SMART bus schedule
Mississippi State’s Starkville-MSU Area Rapid Transit system will adjust its daily schedule during Christmas break.
Specifically, route times and availability will change from Dec. 20 to Jan. 1, with normal service resuming Jan. 2. Route times and availability will again change on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 15) and resume normal service on Jan. 16. Paratransit services will continue on a reservation basis.

The holiday schedule is as follows:
—Dec. 20-31, excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
- MSU routes: No service
- Starkville North, Central, South and Connector routes: Reduced service (one bus per route) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Starkville routes provide service to campus.
- GTRA route: Normal schedule except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
—Dec. 24: Christmas Eve
- MSU routes: No service
- Starkville North, Central, South and Connector routes: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- GTRA route: Service ends at 2 p.m.
—Dec. 25: Christmas Day
- MSU routes: No service
- Starkville North, Central, South and Connector routes: No service
- GTRA route: No service
—Jan. 1: New Year’s Day
- MSU routes: No service
