STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State’s Lyceum Series’ 77th season continues with a highly entertaining performance from the Midsouth performing arts company Collage Dance Collective.

Performing Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. in Lee Hall’s Bettersworth Auditorium, the group’s show is free for MSU students, and the general public can purchase tickets at msstate.universitytickets.com. Individual tickets are $30 per person and $25 for MSU employees and senior citizens. Season and miniseries passes also are available.

Based in Memphis, Tennessee, Collage Dance Collective has been named a Southern Cultural Treasure by South Arts and the Ford Foundation and listed among the 50 largest ballet companies in the nation. The collective includes three core programs: a conservatory teaching classical ballet, jazz, tap, modern and West African dance to students; a collection of adult classes and programming; and the international touring company comprised of 18 professional dancers from across the world.

The “Buff City Blues” production is an ode to the musical heritage of Memphis, and is comprised of high-energy classical ballet with blues music from artists such as Muddy Waters, B.B. King and Koko Taylor.
