2026 Research Awards - Call for Nominations
We are accepting nominations for the 2026 Research Awards, proudly sponsored by the Office of Research and Economic Development and the Division of Agriculture, Forestry, and Veterinary Medicine. These awards exemplify MSU's impact and commitment to excellence in research and innovation across a diverse array of disciplines.
Nominations are welcomed from the entire campus community, including faculty, researchers, and staff. We encourage you to nominate individuals whose contributions not only advance scholarship within their fields but also push the boundaries of innovation and create a tangible impact on society.
The Research Awards recognize outstanding achievements in the following categories:
- Ralph E. Powe Research Excellence Award
- Mid-Career Research Scholar Award
- Emerging Research Scholar Award
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award
- Research Professional Award
- Research Support Award
Recipients receive a commemorative plaque and a monetary prize. Additionally, awardees of the Ralph E. Powe, mid-career, and emerging research scholar awards will each receive a $10,000 research grant. Finalists in each category will be selected by a committee of full professors representing MSU’s diverse research disciplines. Awardees will be announced Oct. 8 at the annual Research Awards Celebration.
