STARKVILLE, Miss.—An exhibition featuring photographs by senior art major Miah Hall will be on display in Mississippi State University’s Old Main Art Galleries through April 29. Hall will be available in the gallery to discuss “Nettleton” at an artist’s reception on Thursday [April 23].

The Nettleton native’s show is an exploration of the structure of small-town life through her photography.

Photography by senior art major Miah Hall is on display at MSU through April 9.

“My images focus on the people who carry invisible and visible responsibilities within their communities, along with the spaces they occupy and move through each day,” Hall said. “The exhibit asks viewers to consider how community is maintained, who carries the weight and what exists quietly within it.”

Old Main Art Galleries are located in Room 1070 and 1100 in the Old Main Academic Center with viewing hours Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Housed within MSU’s College of Architecture, Art and Design, the Department of Art is available online at www.caad.msstate.edu/academics/majors/art. Learn more about “Nettleton” and other CAAD exhibits at https://www.caad.msstate.edu/exhibitions.
