MSU conducting fireworks, pyrotechnics demonstration Thursday [Aug. 20]

Mississippi State and the State Fire Marshal's office will conduct a fireworks and pyrotechnics demonstration in preparation for the upcoming athletics season at various locations across campus 11 a.m. Thursday [Aug. 20].

What to expect:

• Loud noises, smoke and flashes of light at multiple points around campus beginning at approximately 11 a.m.
• Uniformed personnel and marked vehicles staged near demonstration areas
• Temporary staging in select outdoor areas; please follow any posted signage or instructions from staff on site

This is a planned, supervised demonstration and does not indicate an emergency. No campuswide action is required.
