STARKVILLE, Miss.—A portion of MS-Highway 82 in Oktibbeha County now is a permanent memorial to Lake Little, a Starkville Academy graduate and Miss Hospitality who died tragically in 2019 at age 18 after attaining many other impressive achievements and making a significant positive community impact.

The dedication ceremony hosted by Mark and Rhonda Keenum and David and Pattie Little was held Friday [Sept. 4] for the Elizabeth “Lake” Little Memorial Highway, which is located close to the Lowndes County line. MDOT signage was unveiled and is now in place on both the eastbound and westbound lanes.
