MSU hosting 2026 Employee Benefits and Wellness Week starting Tuesday [Sept. 22]

Join Mississippi State Human Resources Management for Employee Benefits and Wellness Week, Tuesday through Friday [Sept. 22-25], featuring informative sessions designed to help you make the most of your employee benefits while supporting your overall well-being. Whether you are new to MSU or simply need a refresher, there is something for everyone.

We encourage you to attend in preparation for open enrollment, Oct. 1-31, with benefit changes taking effect Jan. 1.

This year’s Open Enrollment will be completed through our new benefits administration system, Employee Navigator. Several Employee Navigator training sessions will be offered during Benefits & Wellness week. Additional Open Enrollment details, including instructions for accessing Employee Navigator, will be shared closer to the enrollment period.

Wednesday, Sept. 23

Life Happens: TELUS About It (Virtual)
Learn about the confidential resources including counseling, work-life resources, well-being tools and support available through the Employee Assistance Program.

Know Your Leave Options: What to Use and When (Virtual)
Gain a better understanding of leave programs, eligibility requirements, and university procedures.

Thursday, Sept. 24

Understanding Social Security Benefits (In Person)
A representative from the Social Security Administration will be onsite to discuss how it works and factors to consider when planning for retirement.

PERS Retirement Education Session (In Person)

Join PERS for early career/new employee seminars designed to help you prepare for retirement with confidence. Two sessions will be offered: one for Tiers 1-4 members and a separate session for Tier 5 members. Learn what it means to be a part of a defined benefit plan like PERS, as well as provide insight about the benefits of enrolling in Mississippi Deferred Compensation Plan & Trust.

Retirement 101: Building Your Roadmap to Retirement (In Person)

Planning for retirement can feel overwhelming, but understanding the basics is the first step toward a secure financial future. Join us for Retirement 101 introductory sessions designed for employees at any stage of their career.

Spice Up Your Wellness: Create Your Own Seasoning Blend (In Person)
