Soccer’s Surge of Excitement
Not only did the Bulldogs make this past Saturday [Nov. 16] a night to remember, but so did the fans in the stands as the largest crowd ever—3,461—cheered the Maroon and White to a dominant NCAA tournament first-round win. Mississippi State’s talented No. 1-seed team, coached by SEC Coach of the Year James Armstrong, defeated Southern University 7-0 and filled the stadium with a contagious electricity. The surge of excitement continues as MSU remains on home turf for the second-round match against the University of Washington this Friday [Nov. 22] at 6 p.m.
