Mississippi State cadets board the Army’s UH-60 Black Hawk at Fresh Fields on campus Thursday [April 23]. As part of the ROTC program’s Branch Day, university cadets learned about different Army branches, including aviation, armor, infantry, field artillery and more. Pilots Capt. Brad McWhirter and CW3 Matthew Buckner, both MSU alumni, flew the aircraft from Jackson to mentor the next generation of military leaders, giving cadets firsthand flight experience.
