STARKVILLE, Miss. —Two Mississippi State University units are collaborating to host a unique expo for potential students in the northeast portion of the state.
Mississippi State University’s College of Education and Center for Distance Education will host the first-ever Education Expo on Monday, Aug. 28, at the Hancock Leadership Center on the Itawamba Community College Tupelo campus. The center is located at 1920 Briar Ridge Road in Tupelo.
Taking place from 3-6 p.m., the event includes program representatives from the College of Education’s various academic departments, as well as representatives from the Center for Distance Education, among other university programs.
Geared toward recruitment, the expo is serving as an effort to expand program outreach for area community college transfers and non-traditional students who may be interested in enrolling at MSU. Additional information will be available regarding undergraduate, online and graduate degree programs.
The event, free to all, will feature door prizes, dog bone cookies for the first 150 participants and an appearance from MSU’s mascot.
For more information about the event, contact College of Education recruiting coordinator Amy Prisock at ahp3@colled.msstate.edu or by phone at 662-325-8824.
