STARKVILLE, Miss.—Alfonzo Alexander, chief ethics and diversity officer of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy and the organization’s president of the Center for the Public Trust, is Mississippi State’s fall 2022 featured guest for next week’s Leo W. Seal Jr. Distinguished Speaker Series.

Sponsored by MSU’s College of Business, the event takes place Tuesday [Aug. 30] at 3:30 p.m. in Taylor Auditorium at McCool Hall. A public reception for Alexander also will be held at 10 a.m. in the College of Business Dean’s Office, 114 McCool Hall.

Alexander oversees strategic diversity initiatives and ethics compliance for the NASBA, and also supervises the CPT’s day-to-day operations and programs. Under his guidance, the CPT has grown new partnerships and built programs on nearly 100 college campuses in the U.S. and extensively expanded its “Being a Difference Award” program, which recognizes individuals for their contributions to social responsibility and ethical leadership.

Alexander and the CPT also established the Ethical Leadership Certification Program, designed to help students identify and respond to ethical dilemmas, which he will help MSU’s College of Business launch this fall.
